What is a Mexico Business Visa?

A Mexican business visa is meant for foreigners, like Indians travelling from India, who need to go to Mexico strictly for business reasons. Unlike a tourist visa, it doesn't cover leisure activities.

With this visa, you can do things like attend meetings, conferences, negotiate contracts, or conduct business-related research in Mexico. It basically lets you handle your business affairs there without needing a work permit.

How to Apply for a Mexico Business Visa?

Step 1: Ensure your documents are prepared according to the requirements for a business visa application, including completed application forms, bank statements, and any other necessary documents.

Step 2: Book your Mexico Visa appointment for a business visa through Citas website. Each applicant, regardless of age, must book a separate appointment. If you encounter the message "no office found" while scheduling an appointment through the CITAS system, it indicates that no appointments are currently available.

Step 3: Pay the $51.00 USD visa application fee, equivalent to INR at the current exchange rate. Payment is non-refundable and must be made only after scheduling an appointment through NEFT or cash deposit.

Include your passport number as a reference and present the payment receipt during document submission.

Important

Any payment made to the wrong bank cannot be refunded and must be resubmitted to the correct bank.

Step 4: Attend your appointment with all required documents and the payment receipt. Ensure you have the confirmation letter from the CITAS website and a surgical mask. Minors must be prepared for biometric data collection (photo and fingerprints). Payment is nonrefundable, and all documents must be complete to avoid rescheduling. Please arrive 15 minutes early to facilitate entry.

No electronic devices, metal objects, or briefcases are allowed in the Consular Section. These measures are in place for the safety of all applicants and Consular staff.

Step 5: Collect your passport in person within 2 working days if your application is approved. Alternatively, authorise another individual with an original letter of authorization and a copy of their ID to collect it on your behalf.

Collection timings are Monday to Friday from 15:00 to 15:30.
